What exactly does ScrivaLens analyze? ▼
ScrivaLens performs four core analyses: (1) AI authorship detection — statistical patterns indicating AI-generated text; (2) Internal data consistency — contradictions between abstract, methods, results, tables, and figures; (3) COPE & ethics compliance — ethics declarations, Declaration of Helsinki, AI tool declarations; (4) Plan-specific extras including reference quality, self-citations, statistical completeness, and more. See the
How It Works page for full details.
2
Is this a replacement for peer review? ▼
No. ScrivaLens is a pre-submission analytical tool, not peer review. We analyze structure, consistency, and compliance — we do not evaluate the scientific merit, novelty, or validity of your research. Use our analysis to identify correctable issues before an editor sees your manuscript.
3
How do I pay? ▼
After submitting your manuscript, ScrivaLens sends a PayPal invoice to your email. Work begins only after payment confirmation. You do not need a PayPal account — PayPal accepts major credit and debit cards.
4
Is there a refund policy? ▼
All payments are final and non-refundable once work has begun, as analytical and editorial resources are allocated immediately upon payment. The sole exception: if ScrivaLens fails to deliver within the agreed deadline (5 business days standard / 24h priority), a full refund is issued.
5
What is the Tracking Number (TN)? ▼
Each submission receives a unique Tracking Number in the format SL-YYYYMMDD-XXXX-V1. This TN appears on your report and allows you to: (1) submit a revised version to receive a comparative Improvement Analysis (US$ 5) and (2) reference your submission in correspondence with ScrivaLens.
6
What is the Improvement Analysis? ▼
The Improvement Analysis (US$ 5) compares two versions of the same manuscript — V1 (original) and V2 (revised). It shows delta scores per section, resolved issues, and remaining concerns. To order, submit your revised PDF and enter your original Tracking Number. You can also purchase a combo (analysis + first return) at a discounted price when submitting.
7
What are the page limits? ▼
Research articles: base price covers up to 30 pages (references excluded). Theses, dissertations, and final papers (TCC): base price covers up to 60 pages. Beyond the limit: +10% of the base plan price per additional 10-page block. Maximum file size: 20MB PDF.
8
Are my files stored on the server? ▼
No. Your manuscript PDF is sent directly by email to the ScrivaLens editorial team. No manuscript file is stored on our server. Generated analysis reports are stored indefinitely and accessible through your account dashboard.
9
How long does delivery take? ▼
Standard plans: up to 5 business days from payment confirmation. Priority plan: within 24 hours from payment confirmation (additional fee of US$ 50 total, or selected as the Priority plan).
10
Do you offer institutional plans? ▼
Yes. The Institutional Plan (US$ 99/month) provides 10 analyses per month for research groups, PPGs, and laboratories. Contact us at
info@scrivalens.com for details.

In which languages can I submit? ▼
We accept manuscripts in English, and Portuguese. Reports are issued in the language selected at submission (English or Portuguese). Analysis of non-English manuscripts may have limitations in linguistic pattern detection — this is noted in the report.
